Sure, you've barely begun to ski this season...and we've already got the skinny on next years new equipment...we'll let you in on some industry secrets...
Atomic is branding their race line "Redster" - you'll see boots called Redster Pro 100 and Redster Pro 130 and Redster 130Ti.
Going forward Blizzard will be following up their huge successes with Flipcore technology and their side country line including Bonafide, Cochise, and Black Pearl with more good stuff on tap - They've got a new ski called the Gunsmoke - it's going to be easy and nimble – a lot like their Crush ski. There's a women’s freeride ski called the Samba. It's a women's
version of Bonafide. It is 98mm under foot and there is no metal in it. There's a new women’s freeride ski called the Dakota. It is the women's version of Cochise. It is 108mm under foot...and it's a women’s high end rippin’ ski.
In Blizzard's hard snow carving skis the Magnum
8.1 is replaced by Magnum 8.0 – it will be narrower (80mm vs 81mm waist) and
have flip core. There will be two versions: Carbon (CA) and Titanium (TI). Just as previous it will be a great all mountain carver and hard snow ski, except it will no longer be a system - it will be a flat ski. The Magnum
8.7 is replaced by new Magnum series called Magnum 8.5. These skis are not a suspension
product, as the have previously been and the Magnum 8.5 comes in Titanium only. The women's hard snow carver will be called the Viva 8.0. It will be a flat ski – we are not sure if it will be Carbon or Titanium yet.
All Blizzard skis for 2012-13 are going to come flat (there will be no system skis).
For Tecnica boots the Cochise and Bonafide boots will return in all their glory as All-Mountain AT Boots. Here's a gear review on the boots -
