Atomic is taking the approach of “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” for the 2021 season. And with a solid showing at all levels of competition last year, that’s probably a smart move. While many race models are remaining the same, there are a few changes coming for the 2020/2021 season. And the new graphics on the race skis look really great. Get excited!

For 2021, Atomic is back with the Redster S9 for slalom and the Redster G9 for giant slalom. Overall, Atomic’s 2020/2021 race skis feature the same construction as the 2019/2020 models with an updated graphic. As long as you’re ok with different graphics, this carry over in race ski models provides an economic way for Atomic athletes to update their racing quiver.

While most skis are remaining the same, Atomic has introduced a new tweener slalom ski to their lineup: the Atomic Redster S9 FIS SL Race Ski in a 155cm size. Featuring the same construction and race plate as the 157cm and 165cm Atomic FIS race slalom skis, this 155cm ski is designed specifically for developing racers who have outgrown the junior ski but are not yet ready for the full-blown FIS ski. This tweener version is much softer in the tip, allowing for easier turn engagement. It is perfect for U14, U16 or high school racers, that developing racer who is transitioning off a junior ski, or anyone who requires a softer slalom ski.
