The 2020-2021 Volata MIPS from Sweet Protection is a FIS-approved ski racing helmet suitable for all disciplines. The Volata MIPS features the latest FIS helmet technologies with a variable elasticity thermoplastic shell, front and rear in-molded gate shields to protect against gate impacts, as well as proven impact shield technology. Three layer MIPS is a multi-directional impact protection system that protects against rotational impact forces from multiple directions. Optimized impact distribution shields further improve this helmet's safety capabilities. The Volata helmet accepts the Sweet Protection quick-fit, screw and tool-free chin guard for slalom events. (Not included.) The chin guard can be mounted/unmounted in a matter of seconds and is easy for younger athletes to use without assistance.

The helmet also includes quick release emergency removal ear pads that can be removed before sliding the helmet off in emergencies, a race-specific micro adjustment ratchet chin buckle, and a 3D shaped, vented, moisture wicking and washable lining.
