THE 183 IS THE SAME SKI AS 2020 EXCEPT FOR SLIGHT GRAPHIC CHANGE The 2019 Atomic Redster G9 FIS GS Race Skis have been race winners at all levels - from the World Cup, FIS, Europa Cup, and Noram, to USSA races. Current FIS rules governing ski radius and length dictate 193cm (+/- 5cm) (>30 m radius) skis for men, and 188cm (+/- 5cm) (>30 m radius) skis for ladies. These sizes are required to compete in FIS races for athletes U19 and older. So men can ski either the 193 or 188, and ladies can ski the 188 or 183.

The 2019 Atomic FIS skis are the fastest and most stable skis that Atomic has ever made. The addition of Servotec last year, which is a pre-stressed rod and elastomer on the top of the ski that supports the skis at all speed levels, makes turning easier and the skis more stable at the same time. There is also a new plate, which accepts the X-series of Atomic race bindings from X12-X20. These skis have a full sidewall and Atomic's patented Ultra Power Woodcore with titanium powered inserts - both of which help make for a strong and agile ski.

Atomic skis come from the manufacturer's factory race room not fully prepared for racing. Atomic GS skis are set at the factory with a .7 degree base bevel and 2 degree side angle. Peak Performance recommends for GS skis .5-.7 degree base bevel, 3 degree side angle, sidewalls pulled from the edge, and race wax applied. Premium prep does not include base edge modification.

Atomic race skis require the use of Atomic bindings. In the drop-down above you can also choose the X16 VAR bindings with a DIN of 8-16, or the X19 MOD with a DIN of 11-19.
