The 2019 Atomic Redster G9 FIS GS Non-FIS Race Skis have been race winners at all levels for races that are not restricted by FIS rules.  These skis have a tighter radius than the FIS version, making them an easier ski to handle in USSA racing.  Current USSA regulations for U14's through U21's require a GS ski that is greater than 17 meters in radius, with no ski length requirement.  The strongest skis for the strongest athletes will still be the FIS designed skis, (e.g. the 193 and 188 lengths) but for athletes who are younger and/or less powerful, or athletes skiing shorter GS course sets, this type of Non-FIS ski can be the ideal tool for achieving great results.

The Atomic Redster G9 FIS GS skis are the best transition from junior skis to adult skis for U14, U16 USSA and High School USCSA athletes.  Servotec, which is a pre-stressed rod and elastomer on the top of the ski that supports the skis at all speed levels, making turning easier and the skis more stable at the same time.  There is also a new plate, which accepts the X-series of Atomic race bindings from X12-X20.  These skis have a full sidewall and Atomic's patented Ultra Power Woodcore with titanium powered inserts - both of which help make for a strong and agile ski.

Atomic G9 FIS GS 2019 (Non-FIS):
180cm:  104-65-85.5 (=24 meter radius)
173cm:  105-65-87.5 (=20 meter radius)

Atomic skis come from the manufacturer's factory race room not fully prepared for racing. Atomic GS skis are set at the factory with a .7 degree base bevel and 2 degree side angle. Peak Performance recommends for GS skis a .5-.7 degree base bevel, 3 degree side angle, sidewalls pulled from the edge, and race wax applied.  In our drop-down menu above, we offer several levels of race preparation to choose from as options.  Please refer to the Race Tuning & Services page for more information and advanced options, and in your order notes please tell us what base angle you prefer if you are choosing the Elite or World Cup Prep add on.  Premium prep does not include base edge modification.

Atomic race skis require the use of Atomic bindings.  In the drop-down above you can choose the X-12 bindings with a DIN of 4-12, or the X16 VAR bindings with a DIN of 8-16.

The 2019 Atomic Redster G9 FIS Race Skis are the chosen equipment by World Cup overall champions Mikaela Shiffrin and Marcel Hirscher.
