The 2020 Blizzard Firebird SL Jr Racing Skis have been race winners at all levels of JR USSA Racing from U12-U16.  Blizzard's Firebird SL Jr Racing Ski delivers a genuine advantage through the latest generation of the revolutionary patented Wood Core with titanium and Marker JR Race Plate capable of delivering explosive rebound, super-fast edge changes and incredible stability.

USSA U12 and Under Only:
122cm:  9m radius
129cm:  9m radius
USSA U12, U14 and U16 Legal:
136cm:  109-64-94 (>10m radius)
143cm:  112-65-97 (>10m radius)
150cm:  113-65-98 (>12 m radius)

The Blizzard Firebird SL Racing Jr skis require the use of Marker bindings.  The Marker XCell binding series took binding performance to a whole new level.  Recommended bindings are the Marker XCell 12, Race 10 TCX, and for junior boot sole dimensions size 21 and smaller - the Marker Race Jr 8.

Blizzard Junior race skis come from Blizzard's factory race room set with a 1 degree base bevel, and a 3 degree side angle.  Peak Performance recommends for JR SL skis a 1 degree or .7 degree (for more aggressive and skillful racers) base bevel, 3 degree side angle, sidewalls pulled from the edge, and race wax applied. In our drop-down menu above, we offer several levels of race preparation to choose from as options.  Please refer to the Race Tuning & Services page for more information and advanced options, and in your order notes please tell us what base angle you prefer if you are choosing the Elite or World Cup Prep add on.  Premium prep does not include base edge modification.

The 2020 Blizzard Firebird skis are the equipment of choice for World Cup skiers Riccardo Tonetti (Team Italy) and Robby Kelley (US Ski Team).
