OVERVIEW:

The new Montero AX promises total versatility.  Groomed pists?  Fresh powder? Heavy spring slush?  Everything is no problem for this playful do it all.  Wave-shaped splits in the Titanal plus a rocker at the tip and tail make this ski easy handling and nimble, ideal for short to mid-radius turns.  With its waist of 80mm it also gets stability and performs perfectly in all conditions.

For the 2022-2023 season, the new Stockli Montero AX charges on to the scene with something to prove. Replacing the legendary Laser AX is no easy feat, but after our initial impressions of the Montero AX, there's no doubt it easily fills the very large shoes of its predecessor. Featuring a slightly wider waist width, the Montero AX becomes more versatile for all mountain skiing, while still maintaining that excellent on-piste performance we expect. Happiest taking snappy turns and with a more playful feel than the Montero AR, the Montero AX is ideal for someone who prioritizes a responsive and energetic ski, but have no fear: you can still push speed limits with the Montero AX. Adaptive Contact Length means the higher the edge angle, the greater stability you get and the more you can push those skis even harder, without the skis ever demanding it. Flex Torsion Control, a new addition to the AX, ensures you get a smooth ride with seamless transitions, no matter the conditions you run into. By adjusting the torsional rigidity based on the vibrations, you get the precise flexibility you want depending on the snow conditions. Firm morning crust becomes smooth like butter, and softer conditions feel more fun than ever. We've said it before and we'll happily say it again: the Montero AX is a ski for people who love skiing.
