A REVOLUTION IN ALPINE SKIING SAFETY
Starting from the 2025/26 season, a fundamental change for alpine skiing safety has come into force: the obligation of certified Cut Resistant pants for all athletes of all competitive categories, in all types of races.
This was established by FISI – Federazione Italiana Sport Invernali (Italian Winter Sports Federation), aligning with the international standards already introduced by the FIS for the World Cup and Intercontinental Cups, and specifically asking Energiapura for support.
Energiapura, with its research and development for this innovation started over ten years ago, created and presented the products to the International Federation, becoming the leader in the process that led to the mandatory requirement.
Cut Resistant Protection Devices: garments made with innovative fabric, for the safety and protection of athletes from possible cuts from ski edges in the event of a fall.
The innovation is linked to the combination of the technical characteristics of the fabric and the fit of the garments, which are also extremely soft, elastic, and comfortable to wear, and replace the underwear commonly used by skiers.
An added value is the exclusive ENERGIAPURA Patent, which facilitates the cutting of the seam, in the event of an urgent medical intervention due to an accident or trauma, on the Cut Resistant garment, without compromising the resistance of the garment during use.
ICE-KEY
The device that will be inserted into ENERGIAPURA's Cut Resistant garments offers the possibility for the skier to enter medical data, personal information, emergency contacts, and digital copies of documents, in the event of medical intervention.
In an emergency, simply bring a smartphone close to the ICE-KEY chip area, without the need for dedicated apps, to allow rescuers to access personal and health data, the user's contact numbers, in addition to the ability to send an emergency SMS with GPS location directly to predefined contacts. Information and data can be viewed in the local language of the country where the ICE-KEY chip is scanned (available in 7 languages).
